What is your shipping policy?

Unlike other online retailers, VRO does not hide handling fees or raise prices to cover free shipping offers.

VRO may offer shipping specials from time to time. Flat Rate or Free Shipping may be offered on selected items, or on orders of more than a specified amount. If your order qualifies for free shipping, you will see a “Free Shipping” option in your Shopping Cart at checkout. Yes, there are some conditions:

Ground shipping only
Most items qualify. However, due to excessive weight and/or large dimensions, some items are not eligible for flat rate or free shipping. Some examples include (but are not limited to) seats, fuel jugs, fuel cells. Shipping charges for other items on the same order may still apply
Some items may ship cheaper than an advertised "Flat Rate" special. In those cases, VRO will give you the option at Checkout to select the cheaper shipping method, or we will reduce the total on your order. Either way you wil not be charge more than actual shipping.
If requested, priority and overnight shipping will be charged regardless of item, order value etc.
Applies to US continental (48 states) destinations only. Surcharges for International orders may apply (yes Canada too)
Special Shipping offers may be modified, canceled or suspended at any time by VRO
Shipping charges are not refundable

Check your shipping charges at checkout. If you feel your shipping charges have been miscalculated, call us at 800-377-0944. We’ll review the charges and if necessary, we’ll make it right.

VRO reserves the right to modify shipping charges after the online transaction has closed. If we need to change shipping charges or method for any reason, we will contact you first.

VRO ships in-stock items from our warehouse in Texas. We like to sell a lot of stuff and occasionally run low on inventory. Not to fear, most out of stock items can be drop shipped to you directly from our manufacturers. If you just can't wait for an out-of-stock item we'll drop ship it to you for a small additional fee

You will be notified if an item is on backorder. Generally we can offer you an alternative if time is a factor.

VRO standard shipping is UPS ground. FedEx and USPS may also be used depending on the situation. Ground shipping takes time. Please allow 2-4 days for processing and delivery.

I just received my Longacre order packed in a Tire Rack box. What gives?

Consider that our "Green" shipping program. We recycle boxes and packing materials wherever possible. It's good for the environment. It keeps our warehouse uncluttered. And it's good for your wallet, since it keeps handling costs low (so we don't have to pass them on to you). If you really want, we'll send your order in a brand-spanking-new box, but it's going to be folded, spindled and molested during shipping anyway.

How do I return something I bought?

If you do not damage it, wash it, use it, abuse it, etc, any product you purchase from VRO is eligible for return. The item must fit all of the following criteria for a full refund:

Must be complete as shipped to you, with no missing pieces, modifications, etc.
Must be returned undamaged and unused
Must be returned in the manufacturer’s original packaging (where applicable)
Must be a stock item. Products that are custom ordered are not eligible for a full refund.

VRO packs all orders to arrive safely. However, if an item arrives at your doorstep damaged or missing pieces, contact us immediately. We’ll work it out to your satisfaction.

Call or email us for specific instructions on how to return or replace an item.

VRO will pay return shipping charges for damaged items or incorrect orders. A 15% restocking fee may be applied to items return due to personal preference.

Why do you not carry my favorite product/brand name?

VRO generally stocks brands we feel represent a winning combination of performance, quality and value. Anyone can carry $1700 racing suits, and we’re happy to sell you one if that’s the suit you want. But if you’re like us, you want to be as safe as possible, pass tech, and look good while focusing your racing budget on making your car faster. To that end we are constantly researching new products from various vendors and will add items that meet our lofty standards.

That does not mean that we do not or cannot sell you anything from every brand on Planet Racing. We have contacts and our contacts have contacts who in turn have contacts. If you are fond of a specific manufacturer or product and you do not see it listed on our site, call us. Odds are good that we can get it for you.

If you would like for VRO to stock a certain product or brand, please let us know – by phone, email or in the forums below. If it meets with our approval, you can take pride in saying “That one was my idea”
